Oh, My Dear Ex

I am funny I am smart,
I am everything you thought I was not.
I am beautiful I am great,
that would give you a reason to hate.
I am creative I am peaceful;
but it was you who made me dull.

Oh, my dear ex,
I'm sure now you want to flex.
You wanted to mold me,
but finally, I did not agree.
I felt unloved and unwanted by you,
and now you wish you could undo.

What you did I will forever be scarred,
you burned my heart, and it will always be charred.
My feelings and emotions you regularly abused,
and that will never be excused.
Oh, my dear ex, our relationship you blew
and though you did I have forgiven you.

Moving on and leaving you,
was the hardest thing I had to do.
Not having you was the biggest fear I had,
I felt as though I would always be sad.
But overcoming that, I did not expect,
I learned I was imperfectly perfect.

I am funny I am smart,
I am everything you made me think I was not.
I am beautiful I am great;
a ten out of ten is what I would rate.
I am creative I am peaceful;
I have the worth of more than a crystal.

Oh, my dear ex, you will always regret,
because I am that girl you can never again get.
