Oh my Heart

In my mind 10,000 times
I told you all the things in my heart
but now the day has come to really tell you
I hardly know what to say
A photograph of you I carry
Many years have passed and I wonder what you be like today

 Oh my heart was uncertain
the day I placed you in anothers arms
But I had no other choice
 you couldn't suffer no more
I had to do the unselfish thing I knew what was best for you
Oh the hardest day of my life
Oh my child this heart was broken
Only God could see me through

Knowing you where going to a family that could give you so much more
Love, nurture, a safe warm place
They would give you things I could only dream of giving you
and take you in as their own

 Oh my heart was uncertain
the day I placed you in anothers arms
But I had no other choice
 you couldn't suffer no more
I had to do the unselfish thing I knew what was best for you
Oh the hardest day of my life
Oh my child this heart was broken
Only God could see me through

Today you turned 15
and I hear your well and doing fine
and you so love your parents to
The choice to place you in anothers arms
was from God Its True
Oh now my heart is so certain
dream are filled that I had for you
and this heart that was broken
is now mended now that he saw us through
