Oh, Please!

I am a girl with simple needs I have a loving spirit and a heart that bleeds. That heart has been breaking for quite a long while And now it’s time to address it in my very own style. My parents are wonderful people, you see Have scrimped and saved and sacrificed for me. They are loving and kind and completed devoted But what needs to be said can not be sugar coated. They smoke, is the thing, the thing that I hate And I have not been able to sway them to date. I have told them I love them, and want them to quit But their addiction and weakness is hard to admit. They are smart and well read, and know the danger it holds They have tried to do it together, but then one of them folds. There are things in my life that I want them to see, Graduation and wedding and some children for me. So I have to be brave and shout the thing out These things will soon kill you, there is simply no doubt. I love you is all, so simple to see If not for yourselves, then do it for me.
