Oh she is the light that shines at every dawn
And brings the warmth of joy to my cold soul
Her soothing voice brings peace to my tired mind
And her smile uplifts my broken spirit
Without her in sight my heart beats slower
God smiles down at her faith and good nature
But does she love me as I love her now?
For what happiness can I give to her?
My light next to hers is only ever dim
And my frozen soul bears no sign of warmth
My broken voice does not bring peace at all
And my smile builds no support in others
Only God himself smiles at me for my faith
But for her I will crawl away from my cave
