Oh, So I Do These Things Now

I went to college a long ways from home

I did not know a soul

It was soon that I realized

Everything was in my control

I had to start setting alarms

To make sure I was not late

And when I eat dinner

I make sure there is green on my plate

I have to go buy groceries

I have to go to the bank

I even have to do dishes

If it's starting to stank

I have learned a lot about being on my own

Especially about making myself sleep

I used to be sad about all of this

But now I do not even weep
