Oh Sweet Innocence
Oh what is it?
Is it a vortex of peace surrounded by colors of purity?
Or maybe it lifeless sin as pure as a radiant sunflower?
Something so mystic and chaste- surely only found in a fantasy.
Oh what is it?
So youthful as a sand box and naive like a kiddie land.
Gracious free spirit that can easily get trapped within a playground daze,
Bright as the lights of a tunnel, where darkness can never descend.
Though it may be hard for the mind to imagine it
The soul understands best its contents.
But through a window must the soul see
Which is why the eyes know too.
Oh what is it?
Is it not an infinity of simplicity
Or the inner workings of the purity within.
Making it the inner absent.
Safe from sadness, stains, strains and secrets.
The vision of a scratch circle shows her resilience,
While encompassing all that is white.
Yes, purity is her name
Lasting as long as a dream you lock in your memory.
It makes you, it becomes you, it is you. Until you lose it ?
Oh, Sweet Innocence; stay within me.
