Oh, What a Love Story.
I thought I knew what love was.
A person falling in love with another person.
But no one told me the reality.
Love can be warm,
Making you feel wanted.
But love can hurt.
And I learn this lesson,
The hard way
You think you love someone,
But they never tell you the same.
You think you knew them,
But their true colors show at your weakest.
You think they are the one,
But the definition of “the one” to them is,
A girl I can use until I find another one.
You think you fell in love with them,
But they never did.
Love was never like the Disney movies,
Sadly not every princess will have their Prince Charming.
Instead, the love between them is like fire and ice,
Melting you until you are nothing.
It is like a lion and its prey.
You try to run away from the danger,
But eventually, you are trapped with no way out.
Love is hard to understand.
The only true love you need is,
Yourself.
Know how to love yourself.
Because maybe loving someone else is,
Impossible.
