Oh what a perfect day!

Oh, what a perfect day!

The sun is shining.

The birds are chirping,

And everyone is already rising.

The animals are out and about,

Running this way and that.

Some are even lying around,

Just like a welcome mat.

It's Saturday morning,

Undoubtedly the best day of the week.

Where family and friends can get together,

To spend some quality time that is rare and oh, so unique!

There are so many things you can,

Do,

Do,

Do,

Do.

On this wondeful day.

Like going to the Hudson Bay.

Or playing with some friends,

at the park,

or by the pool.

Catching some waves at the beach on this smoking hot day,

Or sunbathing and getting a nice tan.

One of my favorites, is playing basketball all day till the sun goes down.

Or creating a traveling plan.

Everyone is happy,

No matter your age.

From elders to babies,

You always feel engaged.

You're never left out,

or though of last.

Because you're with family,

And nobody gets left behind or forgotten about.

The kids are ecstatic,

and the parens are happy.

No matter where they are going,

They are just glad to be spending at least one day with their family.

Everybody is having fun and consumed with laughter.

It starts from the tip of your head all the way down to the bottom of your toes.

When a joke is said by someone you know.

It was somethng about a hose, or other,

But all you can remember was that it was supposedly funny.

And made you laugh all the way into December.

That's what a Saturday feels like to me.

It's an inside joke,

Towards the teachers, bosses and anyone else who tells us to work.

Because Saturdays our day to play and have fun, not to fulfill anyone's demands.

Parents and kids alike,

Are released from their duties and responsibilities of school and work,

Because of a man named Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Who agreed we were all being too overworked!

So he created something

 Called the New Deals,

Which we still use to this day as social security, child labor laws and the weekend.

It also allows our parents to come home on time and for us to share meals.

Besides being with family,

We are able to bask in the glory of a Saturday,.

Kcking back and hanging out,

While trying to regain our strength from Friday.

We use this time,

To do what we can't normally do.

Like going snorkeling in the Keys,

Or skydiving from a plane, just to see the view.

Though it feels like there's never enough time,

Since we have to get back before Monday.

We always have a little help, from our partner in crime

To give us more time, known as Sunday!

Though I love Saurdays,

It's awesome how we have two and a half days for the weekend.

To go anywhere we want,

And even more time fo sleeping.

It gives us time to relax and recharge,

From all the pressures of our daily lives.

And remember the olden days when people would take the time to write letters or make calls to someone close,

And invite them for supper.

While exchanging advice and catching up on life.

My family still does that,

On Saturday nights.

We call up the relatives, just to say Hi,

Or invite them for pie!

That's why I think Satudays are awesome.

My perfect days have almost always taken place on a Saturday.

And with the help of Sunday,

I am able to go back to school refreshed on Monday!
