Oh, what a world!

Journalism was my focus But nowadays media stories leave me hopeless Oh, what a world! When babies die, innocent lives are slain A person can shoot up a crowd then plead they're insane Walking away after horrendous crimes Aren't you blessed to be a part of these times? Read a story the other day about a toddler beaten Of course, that's everyday in this world we interact and meet in I'm almost scared to scroll through my newsfeed And though my cries fall silent, my pen will still bleed Oh, what a world!
