Oh. Yesterday

Yesterday is in town with man’s opium At the corner of the relapse At every lane of every synapse Waiting for any that craves the height of the podium
In single order memories await their fix Each eager to be what they cannot become Hoping that the curse may be undone That all be changed with a meagre mix
Alas, here it is, as strange as it can be In and out their souls goes the fumes Which come out as kaleidoscopic blooms Are minds caged like minds free
How diabolical you are to lead minds on an endless road To be both the drug and the antidote
