Oi’

My shell is getting thicker, getting better at deflecting all your doubt,
To take an extra dose of strength, for what I have is running out.
For fear is something within your self, something you control,
For fear, it would not be there if you didn't let it in your soul.
Forever the things that make you paranoid, making you jump the gun and shoot,
Close your eyes and clear your mind, and your body will follow suit.
A tug-of-war. Oh-me-oh-my! My heart and mind can't play nice,
For one is truly honest, and the other gives bad advise.
I am on a path of confusion, finding it hard what to decide,
trying to make everybody happy, so that we can all coincide.
Time is running out and I don't mean on our lives,
Just this relationship, where your love is concerned, you deprive.
Hopeing for me to be addicted? Yet I'm not getting enough of you,
How can I have an addiction to someone, who's always running askew.
