Okay

Hey kid,

It's going to be okay—

more than okay

Spectacular,

Stunning,

so much better,

okay?

You're scared, you’re alone

your life drones in monotone,

a disaster-prone clone of the life

you used to own.

You yearn for the unknown

you are not

okay

Believe me, I get it!

To have fought the thought:

what if

you were someone, something—

Somewhere

you're not

okay

You will endure, endure

And you will come alive!

a horizon past this mountain

You won't just live, you will thrive.

You will be happy

somehow, someday,

and you'll look back at yourself

wishing that you could say

Everything

is going

to be

Okay
