Okay Now

Everything was okay Then it all began to fall apart Though I never did say How it broke my heart I never let it show Not wanting to feel Wanted it all to go Pretended it wasn't real Let the pain out All alone, on the tears I began to choke Whenever you began to shout The scars appeared I kept them secret Scars being revealed was what I feared Seeing them made me regret Ever being so weak And letting everything get to me So I cover them up, hiding the weak A friend held out their hand to let me free Those days seem so far behind But I know how close they are And the scars are there to remind Me of how far I've come I'm okay now Ignoring the monster I'd thought I had become I can make it, how I'm not too sure But I'm okay now
