An Old Friend

I didn't realize the weight of what you said until the moment was dead. I hope the distance doesn't hinder what we had. I thought it to be a good friendship with just the right amount of privacy, for obvious reason. Though, I spent a good amount of days telling you my thoughts, influenced by that bottle or a substance easily dissolvable through my nasal cavity. Insightful conversions with witty remarks. That sense of humor has yet to stump me. Laughter is good for the soul, so you must be too. I know some time from now I'll see you on the other side. Waiting with a warm embrace or maybe a pat on the back. But, until then, farewell, my friend.
