Old Friend

“When you talk about something for very long, you can forget that other people have feelings.”

My old friend, who’s hurt me has sent that to me in a long conversation we had.

I don’t fight with people in a way that will hurt them with words.

You see, unlike you, old friend, I have feelings.

Others do too. I care for people. If you’re trying to persuade me, respect me first.

I will never use violent words against you or anyone in a fight. But you did.

You’ve lost me, my old friend.
