Old Friend of Mine

Are you having a great time?

For shall I wish you the best

For your dreams to accomplish

And more memories to make.

Though distant and no relation

Has been left, because past Is past, as you said.

This may be my last words

But I want to thank you

For the many memories

That you have left

And that I'll never forget

In the small heart I contain.

The experiences that where left

That young love for the first time

I have thankfully felt

Don't think I'll hate you for pain

Nor tears that I shed

Because I am able to grow wise

For the big world

That is ahead of me.

I'm happy that I tried,

To heal an old wound

Made by my old friend.

For now, I'll wish you

A wonderful time,

Because all I want to say

Is thank you

May God lead your way

And for you to find the right girl

Bye bye old friend of mine
