OLD HORSE

Is that applause I hear no it's only the rain
Clap for me dear play along with the game
I need youir attention every once in a while
Kind words, touches, kisses or at least a half smile

I look a little different but most things remain the same
They shoot horses don't they, when they come up lame

This old house is quiet but you're in there somewhere
We should be romancing but we don't hardly dare
Can we tear down these fences like we just met today
Two young lovers living life come what may

I look a little different but most things remain the same
They shoot horses don't they, when they come up lame

You tell the age of a tree by counting its rings
The life of a man is in the song that he sings
I havn't heard your voice in a really long long time
Your juke box costs a dollar and it used to be only a dime

I look a little different but most things remain the same
They shoot horses don't they, when they come up lame
I look a little different but most things remain the same
They shoot horses don't they, when they come up lame
