An Old Kind of Love

Dear Love of my Life

Do you remember me?

I remember you, from…

The day that we met to…

The day that you said goodbye

Do you remember the fun?

The reckless spontaneity,

Remember, how your heart

Raced and so did mine.

Remember how we knew that

Fate was on our side?

I do, it was when I bumped into you

And you laughed and said sorry

But that’s when we knew.

Do you remember me?

I hope that you do…

Your laugh was like music

Now my ears are deprived of it

Your smile and passion

Burned a hole in my heart

Your warmth stayed beside me

Do you remember me?

I wanted to hold you back

And take you back

Back to when we met

Back to a simpler time

Where it was just me and you

Do you remember me?

You know there’s a quote it goes,

“You and I are at the center of the

Universe yet we’re miles apart.”

We were at the center, together

But that was only at the start

Do you remember me?
