The Old Life

our lives used to be full of cold greetings and unwanted meetings

but now things have changed.

we used to hate each other

but when the people left we came together

we now are like a family

we look to each other for help

we talk to any each other

there's no cliques

or separation

it seems though when old come back

the separation does to

and that comes with the cold greetings and unwanted meetings

don't let the old

who don't understand come between us

we stick together in the good times and the hard

but we let one person

who just doesn't understand

do what other things can't

they drive the friendliness away

let the old see the new

don't be ashamed

we are who we are

and we all are different

but we have come together as one

so don't let the old break us apart

let them see the new
