Old Love

She holds my hand

She gives me a kiss

We say “I love you”,

I give her the golden band

Because she makes me feel bliss,

Now to find something blue.

The day has come

No longer free,

Walking down the aisle

Praying I don’t sound dumb,

So she looks up at me

And gives me a smile.

Years pass by

Our love grew strong

Making a family of six,

There are times we cry

But I sing her this song

And we bake a batch of cake mix.

Now we’re old

Sitting on rocking chairs,

She led me to the dove1

Traveling whenever,

She picks up the cold

And loses all her hairs,

I say “Don’t worry my love

We will be together forever.”

1. “dove” | symbolizing peace with God.
