Old Man's Tree

I will bite my tongue I will not flash this in your face keep it quite simple, calm. I will not get enraged. for what is mine you cannot have and what is yours I will not take for you will not forsake me I will grow above this hill the white clouds and pedals the birds will rest on top of my head and I will have forgotten "what is it that I write about? Tell me old man, do you know?" but he tells me "young lady, the world is turning ever so slow, how is it that you can grow and grow and grow and grow?" Face to face we stand together his beard grows thick and my heart aches his eyes go cold as our hearts break "old man, old man, my heart grows cold, years apart, were you once this bold? You see it falling, you see it crash. The world, I hear it smash. " "Rest now love it’s far too late, your one beautiful dove, but the world is filled with hate. " plant a seed in the ground fill it with water it spins round deep, deeper, into the ground.
