To the Old Me

Dear Old Me,

Why did you allow this to happen?

Why did you let people walk all over you?

You know what you were supposed to do.

You knew, but you let it crumble.

You stumbled, tumbled, and fumbled.

But you know what they say.

There's always a new day.

And one day, you decided that you wouldn't let them play.

You came back harder than ever.

You pulled the lever

Even if you had to sever some ties.

You learned to play harder and speak your mind,

All it took was some time.

Now you're in your prime.
