The Old Me
The smile you see is so not real
It makes me feel
God I want to kill
Kill all who have hurt me
Kill all who are wrong
Kill the pain they have given
Kill my heart who is dying but still holding strong
Why can't I be happy
What did I do
Is it something I said that stuck with me like glue
It's been 3 years and I still don't know
Why I'm not happy even when I see snow
I cried last night while I was in the dark
Oh, you didn't know?
You were laying right across from me fast asleep
You said you'd be there
Even when I weep
I don't have many friends
Just acquaintances
Cause the people I talk to
Don't have the slightest idea of what a friend is,
They call you names but don't see the pain
The pain they've just caused that drives you insane
Maybe the old me is who I should be
He didn't cry cause he had someone he could trust
He had himself
There's no need for an us
Alone is the only option I have left
I'll be okay, I don't have much longer left.
