Old Photographs

It's hard to look at the old pictures

From before

I notice something's different

Off a bit

There's something wrong about

Every little thing

It's hard to analyze what is in them

And missing from

I can see faces and know names

Recognizing basics

There's something wrong about
Your eyes

It's hard to understand where they
Were captured
I think that's your sister next to you
Heard of her
There's something wrong about
Your body proximity
It's hard to set a timeline of when it
Occurred before and after
I know that's before everything you
Did while here
There's something wrong about
Your smile

It's hard to remember why you failed
That judgement test
I wish I could understand what went
So terribly wrong
There's something wrong about
Your next move

It's hard to feel the connection that
Made us close
I want to hear from you and know
How things are
There's something wrong about
You now
