Old Pink Room
Old pink room, I grew tired of you at twelve
I hated pink like I hated dolls
Grown up, grown up! I used to chant
Old pink room where I used to play where a pink, billowing canopy draped my bed
there was once a dollhouse that stood aside
Old pink room where I used to dream
I'd come home and lie on the floor
There was nothing to do, my sweet summer days were not gone
Old pink room you had a charm of days long gone
carefree, childhood days, when I concentrated on being a kid
I decked you high with toys, books, pillows, and pink
Old pink room where I was a kid
I cam home and read and played
I came to you at four years old believing I would die here old
Old pink room, I made you blue and took away my childhood
Sometimes I wonder if I took away the blue, would I find childhood again?
