oldest daughter

Born into a role, a choice not of her own,

A fragile seed in a garden overgrown.

Eyes watch closely, expectations high

Confusion lingers in the sky.

"Am I the guide or can I stray?

Must I be strong each day?"

Compassion blooms, a tender seed,

Nurtured by others' pain and need.

She soothes the cries, and dries every,

A silent witness to hopes and fears.

Through chaos, resilience quietly grows,

An overlooked strength that many do not know.

That fragile seed, now a strong tree.

Yet still fears the rains uncertainty.
