Once

Once When I was alone I sat and thought I thought about many things But mostly I thought about love Love What a curious thought That one can feel so good to be with another To enjoy their company and be warm just by seeing their smiling face When they are together Everything is perfect When they must part It is sad for a moment But then one realizes that its not forever They will see each other tomorrow Although it may seem like a very long time They both spend it thinking of the other and looking forward to seeing them again Not a moment goes by when they are not thinking of each other They stay up late Not wanting to sleep Because their dreams are not as good as reality For they love each other I was so infatuated That I forgot it was not me I forgot that I was alone Then I remembered that I had only made it up I became very sad Longing for this wonderful feeling which I did not have To be with someone To be cared for It is what I wanted But I did not have it I stopped thinking I got up solemnly Quietly I walked away Leaving that thought behind
