Once Again:

Once again, I feel the turmoil of guilt and hatred,

The whispers of the Dark insisting that I. am. Evil.

Nothing, he says, will redeem you this time, Nothing, can save you now.

In tears, I turn to the One I have betrayed, and echo David’s cry,

Against you only, Lord have I sinned, forgive me, my King.

it whispers, there is no way He will take you back! You are doomed, He’s run out of grace.

you are a sinner forever, you are a failure.

But like a cool breeze, slicing, and focusing, the I Am breaks the power of the whispers of the Dark.

And through the doubts of belonging, He Who Is speaks, places the pieces together, and says

“I love you.”
