Once (Try)
I tried it.
I will try anything once.
I tried to trust you,
believe your promises.
I tried to follow you
even if you were wrong.
I tried to love you,
trust me this time.
I tried to be yours
becasue you told me to try.
I tried to think I could try
but still you pushed me down
further into the blackness
I tried to get out of.
Once I took a chance
on you, on faith.
Once I broke my own heart
by once trusting you.
Once,
I tried it.
And once I failed,
because you failed to try
and told me it was for
trying
once.

Hello! The name I'm going by on the site is Trizdy Plat. I began writing poems in ninth grade, when I met my first friend at the high school. I had never really thought much about it, but I've always loved writing stories, even thought I'm not very good. I decided to try my hand at poetry instead, and here we are! I mainly write about love and relationships, even though I'm pretty much clueless in both areas. I find that poetry has a way of communicating what you want to say, even if what you're saying makes no sense. Right?
