Once Upon a Crime

Had she thought longer about her life

Had she thought longer about her father, Trite

Had she only been more wary

Of the nameless apothecary

Who claimed he would give her feet

By no means did she think

That her feet would be stuck

In Los Angeles and no luck

Yes, this is Ariel as you might have thought

But this is no ordinary fight fought

It is the story of a girl

Who fell for Prince Eric, as shiny as a pearl

She met Eric on Fin-der, a dating site for the sea

But my, oh my, he was not the catfish she was expecting

Tattoos and piercings all over his body

No wonder Ariel couldn't resist his charm with ease

But as she fell deeper and deeper in love with the hun

She realized she was committing a crime; "Srea-son"

Day after day she cried and sighed over her new beau

Yet she could not understand the love that he did behold

Through kisses and holds she was not familiar

Especially when she looked in the mirror

Comparing herself to Inseagram mermodels and fish galore

She hated herself more and more

One day she broke down in tears

And suddenly she had no fear

With one last breath she took and at last

Away Princess Ariel was cast
