Once Upon A Lover

Like the sun loves the moon

I loved you

I felt invincible, powerful, unafraid

I felt worthy

There was light at the end of my dark tunnel

You the eyesight to my blindness

I the beauty to your voice

But what became of our cliché romantic fantasy?!

Nothing…

It was just a game

A game well played

An act

A magnificent drama

Now I’m fallen

Collapsed of Broken Heart

Stripped of everything

Stripped of me

What am I?

But a dead soul in a living human body

My bones wear a filthy cloak of skin and mortal flesh

My bones wear your wretched sin

This love it surely brought my end

Get down you!

I’ll make you comprehend

Get on your knees

Look at your creation

At what you’ve done to me

This is love

This is true

All because….

I loved you.
