Once Upon Modern Times
Hair dark brown and kinky coarse. How many times can my hair wrap around the tower? I think four.
It has been quite some time since I've been up here, waiting for Mr. Right to say," Let down your hair."
But, pull on my hair? I think not. I spent too much time detangling and in Bantu Knots.
I look in the mirror and I see my brown skin and realize no matter what I do I will win.
So, I decided that I don't need a man, I left my tower and stepped on land.
On social media my hair was a hit, as I posted pictures and video clips.
With the username 'iamRapunzel' I became verified and started receiving checks.
After I accomplished this I asked myself," What next?"
