Once Upon A Nightmare

Once upon a time.....

There once was a girl

Her hair was as fine as pure gold

her skin was as smooth as milk.

Her mother and father were both wealthy tycoons who showered her with gifts

She had it all...

but life has an amusing way of tainting the light with darkness

her mother died and her father became depressed

The girl became lost

a blowing force swept into their lives

a woman by the name of Madmoiselle

accompanied by twins of pure evil

the father, desperate for a womanly comfort, married her

beautiful occasion

rather than white roses there were black roses

a wedding fit for the reaper

in a way it was the nail that sealed the poor girls coffin

months later the father was stricken

in his end, it was his broken heart for his first love

that caused his untimely demise

his little girls fate was sealed

without her beloved birth parents

she knew not what to do

the girl became an old age slave

an artist if you will

her palette consisted of gray mop water, white soap, and black dust

the mop and broom were her brushes

the house was her muse

She was the mouse and Madmoiselle and her twin daughters were hungry cats

now it just so happened, the king at the time hosted a ball

the ball was meant to attract pretty young playthings for the prince

he had a.....fascination....for them

everyone was invited as you, dear reader, must know

but the girl was not permitted

for Madmoiselle deemed her as too plain and unattractive

so as the girl wept

her tears mingled with the mop water and bled into into the floor boards

later, as the clock struck midnight, the evil twins burst into the house

dresses were torn, makeup was smudged, arms and legs were scratched

it seems the prince took too much of a liking to them

he took his....fascination a little too far

as Madmoiselle flitted and fretted aboout the twins, the young girl smiled

the next day, the prince came for his new playthings and the twins hid

the young girl approached the prince and they bartered

the hiding place of the twins for freedom to a new life

as the twins were dragged away and Madmoiselle wept, the young girl smiled

justice truly is swift and good things come to those who wait

and this, dear reader, was the story of Cinderella
