Once Upon a Stroke

Once upon a time in a faraway land.

A princess prepared for a ball that was meant to be quite grand.

Not long ago a curse had been cast,

That would put her to sleep very very fast.

They told her true loves kiss would cause the spell to break,

But the princess already knew that true loves kiss was fake.

She put on her tiara and lip gloss that shinned bright,

And thought “Wow I’m quite the sight.”

The princess had one goal, to stay clear of the spinning wheel

And after that was done she just had to survive the meal.

Down the ballroom stairs she went when suddenly she smelled a scent.

Through the tunnels the scent took her then everything became a blur.

Before she ever touched the wheel, she fell to the ground with quite a squeal.

Unconscious she laid for three days and four nights,

The kingdom thought “Somethings not quite right.”

No suitor they called could do the trick,

“maybe” said a villager “the kisses are too quick!”

But that wasn’t the case and soon the princess awoke,

“It wasn’t a spinning wheel!” she said, “It was a stroke!”

So, the kingdom rejoiced and the princess thought to herself, “I had the weirdest dream that I was kissed by an elf!”
