Once upon a time...

Once upon a time...

People were afraid of each other,

Because they had different stories,

Because they're skin was a different color.

Once upon a time...

We said we wanted freedom,

Then defined it by the options of our arbitrary kingdom.

"Me" became the things that we consumed,

And hate became our casual perfume.

Neighbors became "others"

Mirrors became advisors

Salvation was considered sex

And we forgot the rest...

Surely history won't repeat itself this way.

Once upon a time, today.
