Once Upon A Time

How can time be both constant and changing?

It moves fast during pleasure.

It moves slow during anguish.

And it stops when you stop.

Time is a peculiar thing.

It controls our lives, yet it was created by us.

So why can we not control time?

Siblings grow up so fast.

I cannot speak to my grandparents,

And soon I cannot speak to my parents.

I do not care if I cannot speak myself,

For agony only comes when there is no one to speak to.

Time is a mysterious thing.

No one likes to speak of its progression.

No one likes the thought of death.

But they all think it,

To themselves.

Time has accomplished its goal.

Everyone fears it.
