Once upon a Time

Sun, 06/16/2019 - 11:29 -- Daf2256

Once upon a Time, the sky was always blue
Once upon a Time, life has an external hue
Once upon a Time, everything was forever
Once upon a Time, the world was better
Upon this time, the world's not as divine
Upon this time, mankind crossed the line
Upon this time, the world has lies,
Watched over by the empty skies
Blinded by ignorance one failed realize
That life was the biggest surprise
The most clever of minds could fairly devise
That the laws of our nature will lead to demise
Yet, this time
I have more in mind and am ahead of the line
Yet this time
I've made my sacrifice and appreciate the sweet lime
Yet this time,
I know where I'm going and where it ends
This time, I see everything clearly

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
