Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time

A phrase so grand

It gave every little child

A chance to take a stand

But this phrase so gleeful

So beautiful and nice

Always came back

And had a chance to bite

Once Upon a Time

Never really means much

It always ends with

Our hearts being touched

The ending always speaks of

Happy Ever After

But little do we know

That’s not what really matters

To believe in one’s self

Is the truest of dreams

To never forget what we want

Even if it must be screamed

At the end of our journey

We all want it to be happy

But for some

It only ends badly

So the next time you speak of

Once Upon a Time

Remember what it can lead to

When you read that one line
