Once Upon A Time

Once upon your dreamless eyes-

Once upon your lustless eyes-

Once upon your swollen thighs,

he placed a kiss.

And once upon your cold, plain face-

Once upon your pale, ashen face-

Once upon your cold, dry lips,

he placed a kiss.

Once upon a time you didn’t dismiss.

And once upon your knotted back-

Once upon your bone-sore back-

not with fist or force or slap-

he placed his hand.

Once upon a time he didn’t move an inch,

because once upon a time you didn’t flinch.

Once upon your pillow-

Once upon your crisp, white sheets-

Once upon your quilten weave

he placed a note.

Once upon a time he read it to you as you woke,

Because once upon a time you didn’t choke.

Once upon your doorstep-

Once upon your old, oak floor-

Once upon your unstained porch,

he placed a boot.

And once upon a time, there was pursuit.

Once upon a time, you did dispute.

And once upon a time you weren’t mute.

I'm from South Dakota and I love poetry. In every spare moment I am composing lines to new works in my head, and I am always working to gain inspiration from everything around me. I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, banjo, and percussion. I love to draw and I love anything that involves zombies. Someday I will see the world.
