They call me the Wicked Stepmother

Ha! How dare they! Little old me?

Lady Tremaine? What a tale.

They never stopped to ask me my side of the story

I guess I was a walking, invisible piece of dust who didn’t shine as bright as

Cinderella (always about little miss perfect, Cin-der-ella)

One couldn’t fathom how heartbroken my

Little, old

Cruel, wretched heart

Burned

When me and my first husband departed. It was like my whole life

Shattered

Who was going to love me?

How was I supposed to provide for my 2 precious, alluring daughters.

Ah yes.

You know them quite well. Anastasia and Drizella

Not one mean bone in their bodies; despite what the Grimms may say.

I had to find another way out

For if you haven’t heard I am Lady Tremaine; nothing keeps me down

To my surprise, Cinderella’s father became stricken with my haughty, proud ambience

I mean, I wouldn’t blame him. I am quite a

Dime.

And he wasn’t too shabby himself

As the young people say nowadays

He was a whole

Shmack!

Then I saw Cinderella.

The name still rings in my ears to this very day.

Body so fine

Hair so divine…

She reminded me of the woman my dearest, wretched ex-husband left me for

It was as if fate came to stab me in the chest

Leave me gasping for

Air

I am only human for cryin out loud. So I became angry.

Plus the little demon walked around like she was more radiant than my own daughters.

That nothing could touch her.

So I had to Snap Her Into Shape.

Her father adorned me; I had him wrapped around my little fingers.

So, I put her to work. What joy it brought me to see her scrubbing the dishes

Weeping in sorrow

Guilt.

It began to eat me up of course

I was going to set her free

But my stubborn heart

And her kind spirit, as if nothing bothered her in life

Angered me

Even creatures adorned her, Worshipped at her very feet.

Then the ball came.

Oh what a glorious day my dear!

Cindy had the audacity

The Audacity!

To request to go to the ball. Of course I elegantly shut that notion down.

It was time for my Anastasia; my Drizella to get a spotlight; to be wined and

Dined.

Of course fate bit me in the butt yet again.

I was looking like a bag of chips and there pops up Cind-der-ella.

Dressed in yellow

How she found a dress and transportation? To this day. It. still. haunts. Me.

Only magic could be the answer. If only there was a such a damn thing

The icing on the cake you ask?

The prince fell in love with her! And married the wretch!

Once again another woman  steals my way to the top; to happiness.

Fairy tale you say?

Ha!

More like a nightmare.

They call her fair

A victim

If only they were there to witness the story.

If only they could see how they

Branded my name.

No longer Lady Tremaine. But

Wicked.
