The One

He laughs

The laugh that caught my attention

The laugh that made me see him for the first time

The laugh that started it all

He walks

The walk that shows

The walk that tells

The walk that makes me want to match my steps to his

He talks

The voice that makes me stutter and slip over my words

(Like I haven't gone over what I'm going to say in my mind a thousand and one times)

The voice that makes me look to see who

The voice that makes me listen

He smiles

The smile that makes his eyes wrinkle

The smile that lights his eyes

The smile that makes my day

He kisses her

The one that makes his world bright

The one who walks with him, talks with him, laughs with him

The one he smiles for

The one that isn't me
