The One

I want to be the one to wake you at first light, look into your eyes and know that everything is right. I want to be the one to serve you breakfast in bed, be there with a  shoulder, so you can rest your weary head. I want to be the one you think of throughout your day, think of the future and all it will portray. I want to be the one you rush home to at night, I will be patiently waiting for you, ready to hold you tight. I want to be the one to comfort you when you are sad, cheer you up by remembering all the good times we have had. You are by far the only one for me, it's true, and I want to be the only one for you.
