One

I am one. One being, trapped within the confines of skin so imperfect- -bones so stiff -In a world so cold. I know loneliness. I have embodied it, become one of hundreds of thousands, of MILLIONS who stand without triumph. Who yearn to be accepted, appreciated, adored. and noticed. I am One. Yet, in that number so small, I find peace of extreme proportions. I have seen the Ones who have come before me. Who have fought. Who have spoken. Who dared not be silenced by majorities, but proclaimed strength in great adversity. I am One. But, I will not let this restrain me. The endless possibilities of that number will propel myself to new heights. And WE will soar.
