The One and Only

These physical attributes are things that people will look past

Normal body, curvier than others 

Brown, short, straight hair accompanied with green eyes

Dark white skin, maybe caramel macchiato

Should I try and cover these things with make up and baggy clothes?

Should I be ashamed for not looking like a Victoria Secret model?

Society says I should, but I can't help shutting my ears to such negative thoughts

The Lord made me just exactly the way I am for a reason

Out of everyone in this world, I am the only Karen Corrales

Why would I try and be Nikki Minaj or Katy Perry?

1 Peter chapter three verse 3 says: 

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight

This is the verse is what I live off of and it made me who I am

I have a outgoing personality, I love colors, and I love to sing

The only obstacle in my life is really myself and just as long as I overcome myself, I put the rest in God's hands

I love myself! 

There's nothing more I want in this world than to be myself

So there you have it, I do not need filters

People will either take me as I am or get me out of their life

I do not like negative people in my life because I don't want to get contaminated with such thoughts
