One Breath at a Time.

Querida Bella (Dear Beautiful),

One breath at a time.

Just breathe.

Don’t throw up.

Relax.

Everything will be okay.

The next day will come.

1, 2, 3, 4. 1, 2, 3, 4.

Deep breath in,

Now let it out.

Relax.

No te preocupes (Don’t worry).

Que sera, sera (What will be, will be).

Open your eyes.

Smile.

Now rise and move.

Years later,

In a bubble,

Surrounded by interviewers.

I rise my head and

Smile.

I speak

Effortlessly,

Eloquently,

Exuberantly.

I am the master,

Of my own future.

I won.

One breath at a time.
