one can never be too sure

the terribly awful thing

about love is the undeniable

feeling deep in your chest.

it pokes and prods at your heart,

constantly asking if this is the right host.

it burries deep into every valve

and every muscle,

pulling on your strings; still

asking if you're the right one.
