One Can Only Dream

In love there is the ache of longing hope. In hope there’s fear the flight will crash instead. With fear I tried to think before I spoke. I spoke but words got caught up in my head. To fall in love is falling nonetheless. No parachute to land you on your feet. A kiss upon the cheek and I’d feel blessed, Because I’ve nothing that could make me weep Except a dream that no one else can see Where you are far and I can’t seem to reach The tight embrace that oddly makes me free, The gentlest touch impossible to teach. Thus one can only change the dream so that The flight will stay up high with heart intact.
