That one crush I will always remember

It’s the same night every night

With you on my mind

And my mind wandering off to computer labs

In front of keyboards where we talk about every silly thing in the world but I don’t mind

I just want to hear you talk and laugh

With me right beside

Eyes wide open at the aqua sky and my heart anywhere but here

I had a lot of opportunities to grow closer to you but I couldn’t recognize any

This is the moral I take from our so called friendship

Recognizing chances and utilising them

We’re we even friends?

Well we will be strangers who know each other well 2 months from now

You were overqualified and underqualified

That’s doesn’t make any sense

But neither does my love for you

How did you make me fall for you??

All of a sudden all the quotes and lyric were about you

All of a sudden I do all I can just to avoid staying in love with you

You talk to me and you ignore me

You act like I don’t exist

This is how you make me want you?

It’s late night

Streets as empty as they can be

I’m sad

But

Maybe i like being sad

Maybe I like feeling this way

If it is because of you

So many songs about love and infatuation and crushes

But I can’t relate to one of them

Maybe if I was more like you

You would have liked me

Wouldn’t have acted this way

I tried to be like you

The way you hurt me by avoiding my presence

Tried to believe that you weren’t there too

But it was easier for you

You don’t have feelings for me like I do for you

Everyday as the teacher comes in to call names

Yours was always before me

It isn’t easy to forget someone when you have to see them everyday

Hopefully next year I won’t have to see you everyday

Only than I hope I will be able to move on

Away from these feelings

Away from you

Towards happiness
