One cut...
One cut...
As I sat there crying trying to find a way to release all this internal pain...
I ended up picking up a blade.
Heart pounding as I touch it to my thigh.
Then I cut.
My heart calmed and so did my head.
My thoughts weren't swarming me.
My focus was on the pain.
The only thing I could feel was that one cut.
My internal pain was replaced by physical pain.
But it's okay, it's only one cut I say.
But one cut turns to two.
Then two turns to three.
And three turns to four.
You find yourself spiraling and that blade in your hand is your only escape.
You cut, and cut, and cut, just to feel something.
And each cut becomes deeper and deeper every time.
As you sit on your bathroom floor blood dripping down your leg.
Everything goes black.
Your eyes open in the back of an ambulance.
It was just one cut you say....
