One Day

A delicate thing

A beautiful, delicate thing

Saddened by the touch she never recieves

In a world so diverse

Sunflowers reaching to the skies

Roses sharing their beloved touch

Not quite far enough though

Her leaves are too short

She reaches out for the smallest touch

And nothing

She is lonely

She longs to be with others

She searches for a way to fit in

And still, nothing

But one day

She feels, She hopes, She knows

That one day soon

Her time will come

And she will blossom

Into the most beautiful flower of them all

And so she waits
